It is interesting that Nanalyze states that you should not believe Foster Stockbroking because they receive a fee from BRN but at the end of their article go on to ask that you pay them a fee to help you not make the mistake of investing in BRN. A bit of an each way bet you might think on this one.
A little dig into Nanalyze web site discloses previous articles and I have extracted the following passages which suggest that using their metric for selecting technology stocks the announcement relating to Vorago and NASA would be a basis for Nanalyze to include it in its recommended Ai stocks (remembering you pay them the fee to find out who they do recommend) however they have chosen not to mention this partnership in their advice to all those who foolishly do not subscribe to their service.
I wonder why they left out reference to Vorago and NASA taking into account the following:Investing in Artificial Intelligence Stocks andCompanies
When DARPAstarts investing in AI startups, you know there’ssome “there there” as Gertrude Stein would say
DARPA – A Leader in Technological InnovationDARPA was born out ofthe Space Race after the then-USSR put the first satellite, Sputnik, intoorbit. It was America’s “oh isht” moment, and the government created DARPA “soit would be the initiator and not the victim of strategic technologicalsurprises”. It would seem that they checked that box, though we wonder ifDARPA just has a UFO hidden away in some bunker and mines the alien ship fornew technologies to release every few years, like in the movie IndependenceDay. That could explain the development of Unix and parachute pants. OK,maybe only one of those is a DARPA-back technology.
DARPA is EverywhereWhile much of thegovernment dollars doled out by the shadowy agency go to research institutes,DARPA often seeds little-known startups or university spin-offs that promisebig results. We’ve already featured quite a few of these companies on Nanalyze. For example, OpenBCI, which promises to bring brain-computer interface to themasses, got its start through DARPA. Augmented reality/virtual reality company Kopin received millions of dollars from DARPA to develop wearables for the military. A couple of the NewSpace startups that we recently featured are working on engines for rocket technology with DARPA dollars.
By now you probably get the idea. DARPA is investing andcontracting in just every type of technology imaginable, from optogenetics and synthetic organisms to AI chips and a more efficientinternal combustion engine. This got us to wondering if we should add DARPA as anhonorary member to our list of the top VC firms for techdisruption. At the very least, it sent us on a search for more startups whereDARPA has had a (gloved) hand.
MY opinion only DYOR.
