Why is it stressful?
Because you don't really know if people are going to pay the rent, or if they're going to trash the place. Not all tenants are bad, but they're not all good either. While the tenant sees the house as just a place to live, the landlord sees the house as a hard earned asset. Before the landlord owns the house - they have to work hard to pay for it. It's heartbreaking to have a house ruined, then face the costs and hard work of repairing it ready for the next tenant to come in and possibly trash it all over again. Yes - it's stressful.
