In collaboration with Singapore’s Rockeby Biomed, we are proud to be the sole facility in Singapore offering rapid-testing services for the Avian Influenza for all pet birds and poultry.
With the aid of Rockeby Biomed’s newly developed rapid test-kit for Avian Influenza in birds, our subjects can be tested for the disease within 15 minutes, as compared to the regular 11 to 24 hours required for DNA testing.
Rapid on-site diagnosis is crucial in current times as this means that affected cases can be isolated early to prevent a possible H5N1 outbreak.
Testing for pet birds is done at our facility itself, while large-scale testing for farms or imported birds is conducted at the site of captivity.
A Certificate of Examination and Clearance will be issued to birds tested free of the virus.
As responsible bird keepers and pet owners, we have to do our part in preventing the disastrous possibility of the outbreak of a H5N1 pandemic. Proper diagnostic procedures and stringent hygiene measures can prove to be the significant difference between life and death.
