Rio Tinto pilbara blend iron ore has always traded at a premium to the index price. Partially due to quality and scale, but also to do with reliability/consistency - that all comes with being in a tier 1 mining jurisdiction.
I can see the EV revolution really changing things though... it will be more like ethically sourced v blood diamonds, free range v caged eggs
Premium products will almost have their own market - I think there will be a market for the 'whatever you can get your hands on', but I'm fully behind Justin's vision of marketing E25 as Zero Carbon Manganese (TM)
