Novonix "In the throes of major expansion in Chattanooga"

A lot of investors missed one of the an important statement in the Leadership Update yesterday by Novonix...

Novonix is already "in the throes of a major expansion in Chattanooga"..

The only reason Novonix would have already started a major expansion program in Chattanooga of its PUREgraphite anode plant is because aMAJOR supply agreement is close, and they will be have to ready to satisfy the size of the large order for PUREgraphite anode material.

The advantage Novonix has, is they are expanding the PUREgraphite factory using their Dry Particle Microgranulation manufacturing process.

This has the same advantage as Maxwell Technologies has for dry Electrode coating.

Instead of having to build a plant as big as this for the current wet slurry process for PUREgraphite production...


You only need to expand to a factory size of this below....

So in a factory space where you could only manufacture 5,000 tonnes per annum of graphite using the wet slurry process, you can now manufacture 50,0000-60,000 tonnes of PUREgraphite using DPMG, and expand as a 10x faster rate and significantly lower costs per tonne...




There is no way Novonix would have already started this MAJOR expansion at its PUREgraphite factory in Chattanooga, unless a MAJOR supply agreement is close...

There wasn't an announcement confirming the conversion of this MOU with Sanyo/Panasonic for Tesla's Giga Nevada, which saw the share price drop late in the day.

But this MOU is still in place, and major expansion at their PUREgraphite factory has already commenced, so the Supply Agreement has to be close....





Tesla's Giga Nevada manufactures 39GWh of EV batteries each year, which consumes 42,000 tonnes of PUREgraphite, which is within the estimated larger capacity post expansion.

With the major expansion works already under way in Chattanooga at its existing PUREgraphite factory to meet this order....as well as all other EV Battery Makers Novonix has been testing their PUREgraphite with...
