A good article today on page 4 of the SMH (perhaps someone can post it) entitled Rees plans green power revolution. Here are a few quotes:
"He also signalled that a new baseload power station in NSW (Basewater B I assume?) will now be gas, not coal"!!!
"...a cabinet minute [is being prepared] that will also look at an assessment of other clean-energy measures, including scope for further public (Bayswater, Liddell .. Macquarie Energy I assume?) and private sector investment in gas-fired electricity generation (as opposed to coal)...".
Starting to llok like ESG's gas (who else can supply these power stations?) will have multiple uses. And with the news a few weeks ago that the federal and NSW government are looking at LNG from Newcastle ... things are hotting up.
Surely now that the government has said the new power station will be gas we should see some announcements soon on the development plan?
