with the swing against the NSW Gov yet to complete, its obvious that NSW Gov has changed hands

Perrottet himself is in doubt as to whether he retains his seat at this time.

Perrottet has run probably the more popular Gov since O'Farrell won in 2009. his manner is conciliatory, his diligence has been across the board with little seeming bias against Lab seats.

in short, his conservative values have not over-ridden the need of the community and so he presents as a moderate in his actions.

this sends a clear message that the loss of NSW as a Lib Gov which presents as moderate is far less than the losses in federal and state Govs where conservative values have ignored the values of the community.

moderate liberal values as espoused by Menzies were tremendously popular while Howard always struggled to win and each Lib PM since has either been sacked by the party due to unpopularity or lost because they failed to address key issues that the community believes is important: -
    • climate change
    • health
    • education
clearly if conservative Liberals continue to reject community issues they will remain in Opposition.

Dutton is making a big mistake in pursuing a strong negative response to Albanese and this will deepen the anti-Lib sentiment in the community.

at this rate we can expect next federal election will see the Libs reduced to minor party status!

ps, I don't celebrate the NSW election as it maintains the duopoly. I would much rather a swing to independents.
