Facebook is for when the fan base is established. It is not there yet by a longshot and should wait for when the time is right otherwise there is a risk of backlash as mentioned earlier.

If I wanted to find out about a product such as yowie to buy for my kids I would google it on my mobile device. No one uses Facebook to find out about a product for the first time. When I google yowie I can easily find the website and find good information about product.

Facebook will be more for the long term fans that like the collector aspect of the toys. People that want to be first to know about the next collection of figures/limited editions or whatever.
