This is all very interesting and you should DYOR - it's my understanding that the servers that support GCN websites are an asset of GoConnect Australia and as such are held by the liquidators.
This would explain why the sites were down - they would have contacted the internet service provider and cancelled the accounts - and why when the sites came back online numerous links were broken and not functioning - they would have hastily been placed back online to make it look like everything was as "normal".
Would these be the assets that were mentioned that GCN LTD wanted to buy.
The servers would hold all of the website information - graphics text etc.
Some of or most of the information could be lost for the other sites JJ5 and UCTV etc - depending on where the information was held
Does anyone have a list of assets held by the liquidator ?
