I’ve already said that women, and men, do have to be sensible, as such a society never has existed and won’t for the foreseeable future.

Starry eyed comments like that are not helping the problem. Nor is the implication that it’s a majority of men. It isn’t. It’s a very tiny minority, in western cultures at any rate. It’s not a big problem in terms of the numbers involved, it’s a big problem in identifying them.

Walking through a dark park with no audio awareness is as stupid as texting while driving.
