@Tribler - thanks for the information on the petition. It has allowed me to form the viewpoint that if 2500 signatures is the best they can do, their opinion is not highly regarded, even in Caceres (population about 96000).
And if they're right about most of the people thinking the mine is "pie in the sky", why bother to try and scare us off? Perhaps they're scared of something.
