As you say they can wait to shake their responsibility with the EU law, but my impression seeing the last interventions seems more focused on the environmental impact, i mean if the mine is open by EU LAW for sure will be open but the opposition will remain and give more credibility to SLM (Salvemos..) if the environmental impact is ok the arguments from SLM will lose credibility.. and will be more easy to proceed..
but this is my point of view from what i read on the news.
