I don't think the board were recommending the offer when secretly they didn't want to take it. I think they never intended to take $3 in the first place. This is a big stakes game that if you recall Tony is a master of (look at his previous role in one of the biggest mining companies in the world). Do you think everything is our in the open with every intention laid out for all to see. This is for the sale of a 2.5 BILLION DOLLAR FCF business for $6 odd billion dollars. You and I have no idea what the game plan is or what is happening behind closed doors. I think the plan has been in place way before the $3 offer was announced. Look at LTRs history.
