Huh? If the share price goes below 30c then the oppies will be...

    Huh?

    If the share price goes below 30c then the oppies will be worth 0c. You lose everything, except the option to buy the shares at 30c (which, if they are below 30c, you'd just buy off the market if so inclined).

    Lets say (for the sake of argument) the oppies always trail by exactly 30 cents. If the price for the shares are $1.20 then the oppies are 90c.

    If the shares lose 10% (12c) then the oppies lose 13%. In fact, if you put the same amount of money into the oppies that you would have into the shares you'll be losing even more.

    Don't get me wrong - almost all of my holding are the oppies - I love them (because they cost me just over 20c). When the share price goes up they are magnificent. When the share price goes down they are painful.

    Higher risk, higher reward. Can potentially make or lose a lot more money than the shares.
