A lot of investors will know someone wih PD who might well benefit from this treatment if successful (I know a couple).

All the investors are here to make profit, but I know for certain that Bob Elliott, Richard Faul, Barry Snow and many others involved in the project aren't in it for the cash. Their primary motivation is to help people in need. But to do that they know they need cash, lots of it. Which is why I will be making a donation to the cause if we get a good result.

So yes, a lot more hangs on the outcome of the trial than the financial gain.
