Hi, The major group at risk has been the elderly , and they have been the major beneficiaries of the economically damaging measures needed to control the pandemic. It would make sense that the heavy lifting to solve the budgetary problems should be borne by those in that demographic who can afford it. Considering that they are more lightly taxed than younger groups already, not an unreasonable ask? As far as the gst is concerned, I'm hoping that the government might use the situation as an opportunity to broaden the application of the tax, rather than increase it. cheers
