My View:
The shorters are in very dangerous territory (Shortman currently 17.5%).
In an exploration Co. or pre production or one with a weak balence sheet that would be a given.
However, PLS, M/C $11.631B Cash $3.339B (Stats. from Marcus Today)
OK, Li price, artificially low due to (IMO) Chinese manipulation.
But being Old, Tired & Cynical, I'm comforted by the following:
Bulls can make money,
Bears can make money,
But pigs always get slaughtered!
It would only take a hedge fund to lob an unrealistic very conditional bid, simultaneously calling its shares back & Hey-Ho share price may not double but likely to put-on $2ish...Roast Suckling Pig and Bacon Sarnies all round...
