Where do PM8 say they are targetting selling only the rare earth mineral concentrate?
20% TREO is very low grade for a rare earth mineral concentrate.
Look at Rainbow Rare Earths, they are selling a RE mineral concentrate which has a grade of c.45% TREO and a similar NdPr ratio as PM8. They are currently getting cUS$11/kg which is approx 70% discount to contained TREO value.
If PM8 went down the path of selling the REMC then they would get in the order of US$5/kg based on REE current market sales.
This is why metallurgical results are important next step. They need to show they can produce a decent carbonate product as I dont believe a 20% REMC will be economical
For what it is worth Lynas send a 38%-45% TREO concentrate from mt weld to Malaysia. This grade is less important as they are integrated and I am sure they produce a grade that makes the most economic sense within the flow sheet as a whole
