I didn't say green hydrogen was going to fail. I'm sure production of green H2 will proceed.
I just said that I think it's a little crazy to produce H2, turn it into CH4, liquify the CH4, ship it, gasify the CH4, strip out the C, capture the C (or CO2 as the case may be) and burn (or fuel cell) the H2 to generate electricity.
I've commissioned LNG plants. They are complicated enough in their own right.
