It was interesting news which, on the surface, appears to offer some hope for tighter yet supply for zinc. However there are some questions I would be interested in seeing answers to:
i. When was new mining output expected to commence?
ii. What is the legislative response that the NT govt might put in place to address the problem?
iii. Is there an administrative procedure that can easily change things?
iv. Can the Federal Govt step in and change the situation under their powers over the Territories?
Still, if they can't get the mine extended it obviously has some future impact.
