I found the same in Hawaii especially for alcohol. Australia we are getting ripped off. I put it down to minimum wage difference or Coles/Woolworths oligopoly.

I think we should all not shop at woolworths / coles.
I have found IGA cheaper for groceries and shop there instead.
To bad the big two still sting you as they have bought out just about every bottle shop and service station in Australia.

Now coles is going to do Car insurance. The government needs to break them up Microsoft Style.
