It would be unethical for the FDA to force a Time consuming phase 3 on an existing drug and technology that has been proven to be safe. And they have a protocol to deal with that.
I wonder if SPL lodged with the FDA while tidying up the mess left by the previous management? If they did the earliest date for approval would be in August.
To license after FDA approval would of course be worth considerably more than before. All guesswork but possible.
