Protection for Minority Shareholders

Over on the NKP board ,there is a post by khenderson #17771285 dated 15/05/16 which deals with the Corporations Act 2001.It makes interesting reading and in my opinion is relevant to UNS/UNIS minority shareholders also.

At first reading it seems to deal with legal remedies minority shareholders have if they are disadvantaged by majority action.
I reckon we fit the bill.
Wonder if there is similar US legislation mandating the same protections?
Perhaps our State side posters could throw some light on it?
