There are several companies around the world working on a vaccine, and I hope they are successful. I reiterate that they are all guessing at this stage which shape the virus may take if it mutates.
The general public is generally misguided by these sorts of headlines because they think modern medicine has a cure for everything, if it was that cut and dried I am sure there wouldn't be a worldwide panic to stockpile antivirals.
To the best of my knowledge, they have not yet been able to create a vaccine for SARS, I honestly hope they are more successful this time
