Facts are for years Qld has been/is the "strong man" of NEM generation usually exporting power south. But having the extra 385MW will help at those rare times of peak grid stress. Right now Qld is exporting ~600MW and NSW is sending ~450MW into Vic who is feeding ~250 to Tas.

A year ago in Jan-Feb Qld did experience huge wholesale price spikes which I have never seen explained but may have been due breakdowns.
