Old thread here but looked relevant given it was about NXP so here goes.
I was trying to find some brainchip connections to NXP and ended up stumbling across Lars Regen, NXP's CTO.
Through Lars, I found this video by NXP dated 17 November 2021, titled "Smart Technology for a more Sustainable Future".
I highly recommend that you listen to the entire video. There are some amazing topics in it and there are so many issues raised which I believe akida provide a solution to.
For those that can't be bothered listening to the video. It is timestamped.
At 6:02 "Challenge of AI & ML in Smart Connected Devices" - Lars is asked "what is the trick to get AI onto edge devices". His response was “the challenge is that big AI systems are consuming an enormous amount of energy. Getting the compute performance down with the same detection capabilities and therefore the energy consumption under control is the secret sauce in bringing AI and machine learning into smart connected devices”. Akida?
At 6:50 "Next Generation of Smart Buildings" - Amanda discusses smart city and buildings. Her section goes for 3 minutes and is extremely relevant to akida. Amanda also mentions the "imx 9" processor that NXP have. I found detailed info about the imx 9 process here. Akida?
In regards to dot joining Brainchip to NXP - Amanda is the Senior Director of Product Management at NXP. She's also an Australian from Adelaide (Flinders Uni). SURELY she has an interest in what's happening in the Australia semi-conductor industry.
Then there's also the AI Everywhere Forum - Rob Telson was a speaker at the event, as was Gowri Chindalore, Head of Strategy for Edge Processing at NXP Semiconductors
I'm thinking NXP is an EAP. If anyone else can spare the time to help me dot join here that would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I haven't finished watching the video as I got so excited - there could be more info relevant to akida, especially in the autonomous vehicle section of the video.
