The President has previously said that he only supports mining where it is supported locally.

The murder of the SMI staffer in Davao a couple of weeks ago remains unsolved, but if you ask anyone who they think did it, they will say the NPA. Eventhough until now, there remains no proof that they did order that hit. I doubt this Italian priest murder will be solved either in the absence of witness testiments.
