Australia is the bigger market, not that it makes much difference the NZ central bank slashed their lending rates last week.
MNY are an auto loan business, if you lose your job you're not going to go out & buy a new (used) car so no a downturn is not good for business.
MNY lend to people who can't get loans from the Big 4 so there's no real competition from them.
