What's the idea behind all of this?

We older farts are fitter and smarter than we used to be as we get older eh?

Fair enough.



Well, the logical extension to that for me is I see younger people are less fit than they used to be an a lot more brainless --

So, let's up the voting age, the driving age, the drinking age and whilst we are at it, let's give em national service from say 17 to 30 - about when they seem to be growing up a bit..

If its good enough for us to have to keep on the grindstone then it's fair enough for them to be out of bed before 12 and out of home before 20 IMO
