Well, MGO is extremely closely working with the PNG authorities and in fact no problem is even remotely anticipated with mining.....
As for Lihir, yes, they did have some environmental problem BUT the area (ISLAND, small ISLAND) where the Behemoth Gold producer is mining is very (geologically) fragile. Even there however, all problems were sorted out. The PNG Government(s) have traditionally been extremely pro-busines and mining development in their country.

Please feel free to find and come up with as many obstacles as you can think of.....I can assure though you my friend...Nothing will stop the MGO Jaggernaut when it will start moving...And it appears the engine is switched on already!
