hard to imagine either pma or rdr being able to sustain vanadium production for long.

axo are selling 6mtpa of vanadiferous concentrate which the customer will extract vanadium from via hot metal.

this will provide around half of the worlds current demand.

rdr still better chance than PMA though. interesting high grades in parts of the barrambie deposit, don't know how more drilling will lift the resource grade from 0.5, remember the ferrovanadium corporation scandal.

oxide at barrambie also will be a challenge. both windimurra and coates failed on oxide. but it is some reassurance that rdr have committed to some fairly decent pilot work.
