re: us releasing stockpile The Uranium from the ex Soviet Union decommissioned Nuclear weapons (diluted with 238U OR DU -OR Both- to around 3,5-4% 235U) which is presently keeps many nuclear reactors going (and the U3O8 prices artificially down) is due to finish in 2012.....So, IF the US begins decommissioning some of its Nuclear weapons, the Highly Enriched uranium which will have to again be diluted down to around 4% 235U (as is the case with the Soviet Uranium) will only be replacing the Ex Soviet Highly Enriched Uranium.....
By then (2012) our Planet will have some 80-100 new reactors needing extra uranium......
