If not random then which is more likely - biased towards quality or dross

While I think the sample is better than a random mix, they don’t have the stones to bias it much. The sample is going to be representative of what they have found to date and will tell us a lot of what to expect going forward. What will be more interesting is what prices they can achieve for the different quality levels - if they can do better than GEM than this will be very encouraging.
