Your partly right. Using the methane at Berrybank is significantly better than allowing the methane to enter the atmosphere
The money they spent to install the Bio Digesters and the cost recover from it is commendable.
The C02 is not good but less harm than the methane.
What is now even better is they like any other methane source which can and should be captured can be used by Hazer with a possibly much bigger and better return than the .36ish cent per kwh of power they currently save by the power they generate.
That was ignored by the article. Suspect Berry Bank and others with methane they can capture are well aware of the C02 and if not already will be soon of a better way than currently used. Happily the life span of the Generators they use is likely to having them look careful at options they have.
