Dr. Gottlieb should have been saying "we don't have enough data to make any statement at this time". It is irresponsible to be speculating that it "maybe will have some weakly antiviral activity". He went on to talk about the various mechanisms that could be employed to rush it into use before the study is even complete. This all sounds very political and unscientific.
