Don't quite get your drift Catrowland.
If you had paid 1c for $1M shares (an initial investment of $10K) your current holding is worth $5K (a paper loss of $5k). After a 100:1 consolidation, you would hold 10K shares (theoretically valued at $5,000 if the cap stays the same), and still giving you a paper loss of $5K. There is no difference, except that the future share sp must grow to $1 (a 100% increase after consolidation) to get even, instead of just 1c now (still a 100% increase prior to any consolidation). There is no 'loss' except from the very real danger of the post consolidation sp being much more likely to go down than the current sp imo.
