Great announcement re Duckhead.
My only wish is if we could get an increase in the tonnes at Duckhead.
Grade is king but it would be great to see larger volumes.
They'll gently blend Duckhead with the other mill feed to increase the overall mill feed grade but it would be lovely to see larger volumes of the good stuff.
The Metalurgists will control the feed grade into the plant so on basic calcs with the plant running at approx 9,500t/day, they only might want about 500t/day from Duckhead, could give a feed grade 2.5-3grams/tonne. The feed grade the Mets wants will depend on how the circuit has been set up, they won't want to be running a too high feed grade to see it going out the back door.
So without putting a damper on anything, the announcement today could possibly go through the plant in 4 months. The trick is maintaining that 29gram grade, which is exceptional, and increasing the volume, could be a huge game changer for BDR if we find more volume of the same.
