Everyone who held their nerve through the change in direction deserves a massive pat on the back. The modern MUS (i.e. the ruby MUS) has had three close, near-death experiences; the first June 2016 CR was far from a certain, the December 2016 CR was even more precarious (the MC at that point was under $5 million), and finally if everyone had dumped in May this year after the change in direction then there would have been no Arena funding or auction.

All of us that have been on the MUS journey have helped make the ruby dream a reality. Hundreds of local people in Mozambique now have jobs because of MUS and the taxes and royalties to be paid will help millions of people build a better life. There is a lot for us to feel proud about.

The amazing thing is all of this has happened in less than 18 months and the story has hardly begun. It is easy to overlook sometimes how much of a future MUS has ahead of it and that we have only just pulled out of the station.
