    Not entirely Tangs,
in fact most use what are now referred to as infantry fighting vehicles.
Due to technological advances in armour and ballistic shield composition the old M113's or the Bradleys for example are indeed rolling coffins.
The bushmaster being a classic example. A highly mobile vehicle that offers protection from small arms fire and shrapnel and IED's
The reliance is on mobility for protection rather than armour.
The Ukraine conflict is a little different however as there is still a reliance on the older type or soviet type APC's.
Better than nothing of course but I can tell you a very uncomfortable environment for an infantryman, particularly with the prolific use of ATGM's.
Whether it's an older style APC or more modern IFV both sides are losing them in big numbers!
Armour technology / ATGM defence has a way to go compared to the technology of armour piercing munitions!
