Of course, there are many wonderful; decent Ukrainians ( some of them are my distant relatives). They grew up in a culture with governments that were mafia style corrupt and in their everyday society they could see that it was the thieves and unscrupulous that prospered and the ordinary people became part of the system in a small or greater way by paying or accepting "bribes" etc.. Their fellow "ordinary slavs" in Russia were hardly any different in their efforts to survive.

What you are ignoring is that the current government of Ukraine is not just a bunch of thugs but also has a strong Nazi controlling element within its military and within its population generally. Yes, you have skinhead morons in many countries but they are insignificant in terms of power and are NOT part of the ruling class. What makes Ukraine's power elite bizarre is that the corrupt Z identifies as one of the chosen people in a country that historically( just like their fellow slavs elsewhere) used the Jews as scapegoats and as an excuse for a pogrom of pillage.

Z is on record - he has said as many politicians have, many contradictory and stupid things - That after the "war,' he wants Ukraine to be like Israel.

In this war its the usual suspects that prosper, not the ordinary slav no matter how much "nationalism " stupidity, and propaganda that has been swallowed and believed. The devil or Big dady in the Sky is unlikely to be of much help to them in this conflict. Lets hope it does not escalate to major nuclear elimination which even the elite may not want to sexperience.
