We don't know where the cases of unknown origin came from, but we know there was a spike that aligns with the protest.
So it is not unreasonable to assume that some of that spike is related to the protest/protestors.
We already know that some of the protestors have a total disregard for the safety of others and the community, so circumstantial evidence leans towards the protest/protestors being the origin for some of the spike in unknown cases.
Just because the origin of the cases is unconfirmed, doesn't exonerate the protest/protestors.
