Yeh, that is the issue with IB. They don't give individual HIN for Aussie holdings. They hold shares in IB's name and not the individual through BNP. The registry wont recognise as the ultimate beneficiary unless IB speaks to them! I can't remember exactly how it works but that was the explanation a few years ago when i had a similar issue. Killing myself for not opening with a domestic broker but IB is really good if trading overseas.

I just spoke to the MD locally of IB and keeps saying its a miscommunication between the registry and BNP the custodian. they are escalating blah blah blah...meanwhile if i wanted to sell and buy more AZL i'm SOL.
