Equally you could argue that the price of Game Stock (GME) shares soared much higher in value than the business was worth, based on a war between the shorts and the longs, eventually the longs won the battle. The same process is about to occur on Mesoblast the shorts have won the battle up until this point based on many filthy media articles circulating around the internet, but that has only amplified the need for the longs to win from this point forward. Mesoblast ranks as one of the top shorted stocks on the ASX so the battle is going to be brutal. I suspect when it happens the share price of Mesoblast will take off starting with 5 cent increment increases, then working our way up to 50 cent increment increases in the blink of an eye.
