Hello again Amy,
It appears that Arafura is one of the most shorted companies on the ASX. Yesterday, a total of 5.3 million shares were shorted out of the 8.6 million shares sold. This represents nearly 2/3rds of the share transactions yesterday.
Is Arafura concerned at the degradation in shareholder value and/or has the ASX been contacted by the company to report what can only be viewed as share price manipulation ?
I understand that the release of positive news is the main way to counteract the shorting. Gavin announced at a recent conference in Sydney that news of a GE binding offtake and associated guaranteed funding would be forthcoming “shortly”. It’s now been several weeks and nothing has been announced. What is Gavin’s concept of “shortly” and is there a time frame for this critical announcement to be forthcoming ?
While I am invested in ARU for the longer term, seeing a nearly $xxx,000 loss on paper is starting to be unnerving.
