Im not having a whinge, and forward rate rate contracts for miners and farmers are fundamentally different from shortselling stocks. Mums and dads dont get caught up in those, they do in the share market.
The liquidity argument is the line establishment feed the masses to justify the practise, similar to bot trading, as i said it would be naive to believe this when the practise only exists to extract more money from the market, at the expense of the retail crowd.
Mums and dads have to put up with media scaremongering, bot trades and the increased volatility from shortselling. Again Im not whinging, Im fortunate enough to have been successful in the market but most are not as the odds are stacked against them...
Simple fact is shortselling creates additional volatility, that is reported and distorted in the news and the poor retail crowd do their dough.
