Hi Raym2wave of idealism which swept through society... coming mostly from the generation of under 20's who briefly became the largest demographic. But.... by the time those crowd visuals and street scenes were shot the mood had already begun to change. "Flower power" had come and gone, 'dope' wasn't the only drug of choice [acid had been a bit of an exotic at first] but heroin had thoroughly infiltrated the 'scene' and 'speed' was not far behind. The Vietnam war created a deep cynicism [it was such an obvious travesty but the idealism of youth couldn't sway the 'old bastards'], the 'bomb' overshadowed everything, the World was divided between the Reds and the 'Rest'..... musically the money started to be the 'thing' [only a few short years later came the "Bay City Rollers' for instance].

In my twilight years, with enough to be retired, I am not sanguine about the future. Continuing local conflicts/wars, social cohesion weakening in some advanced countries (Australia, Italy, USA, ....) and to become what? AI a saviour or a menace? Advancing inequality to be followed by a collapse much worse than 2008 and social violence?
