In persuing the politics of envy and lumping self funded retirees with the rich , Shorten is shifting the perception of the young that the old and the retired are parasites sucking into the hard earned taxes of the younger worker.
In doing so, Shorten and the ALP are steering younger workers and voters to hate all older retirees, forgetting that many oldies are ALP voters.
Meanwhile, Shorten's spending on growing the public service to secure more Labor votes are eating into taxes which could have been better utilized in meaningful infrastructure, health etc. that the younger voter needs now.
