I would agree with how it could be at all possible to determine that gillard is "extremely intelligent".
Almost by defintion anyone choosing to make their career as a union stooge and union legal mouthpiece falls into the "highly questionable intelligence" category.
Nothing I have seen in her performance to date either as deputy PM or as union-boss-appointed PM after she stabbed rudd in the back, leads to a conclusion of her having intelligence or anything much more that a certain low cunning for an opportunity that she can expolit by having lesser morals than others.
As for her choice of partner and the method of parading him on the world stage is hardly likely to enhance Australia's standing among other world leaders.
It is simply very poor taste and extremely bad judgement to bring along your current live-in boyfriend to international events and meetings and have him parade publicly with you to the joy of the worlds media organizations.
