I'm not really suggesting the only way is to be fully invested in the markets, that would smack of arrogance, and ignorance as to how others prefer what to do with their hard earned.
My post was aimed at those who might be swayed by the scaremonerging posts from the doom and gloom brigade, who incidentally have been spruiking the end of the world for many, many years, and who have an axe to grind. (they only appear when the news of the day is dire lol)
philmic, there's plenty of people who are lucky enough to own their own home.....they'll do nicely in retirement
