No diesel power so no diesel oil spills - zero carbon hydro-electric power to both mine and downstream processing plant.

Laterite miners = huge environmental footprint to process into Class 1. Not sure what will happen there and could be detrimental to Indonesia’s plans.

A lot to think about.

Don’t knock the laterites too much.

Remember, Scott said we need the laterites to make the EV revolution happen. If the battery makers can’t get a good supply of nickel, they will look to another material.
